Happy Holidays- Happy HOL-LI-DAYS

Thanksgiving was spent in Texas with Lincoln's brother, his three kids, and Mim and Papa.

We went to the aquarium while we were there

We also saw the luckiest turkey of the season!

But John Henry's favorite part (other than running to his heart's content with his cousins) was the airport, where there was both a whole lot of planes and a train to ride!

Back in Seattle we began to prepare for Christmas. We went to visit two of Santa's reindeer and the donkey and the camel who watched over the birth of the baby Jesus. (The donkey we John Henry's favorite!)

We went to visit Santa too, but John Henry was not too happy about it.

Santa understands two year old's reservations, and actually came early to our house this year. John Henry gave us the wonderful present of letting us sleep in until 7:30, and then waking us with delighted cries from the living room. . . Mama! Dada! Lights! Train! Lights! TRAIN! It was so much fun!

We then made the trek (over land, not air) to Utah to spend actual Christmas Day with our families. Here is John Henry with all of his cousins on Mom's side on Christmas Day. He was super excited about his airplane jammies that his Grandma made him.

We hope you all had a wonderful Holiday Season and a fun New Year. We are looking forward to a great 2010. A brave and wonderful birth mother has given us reason to look forward to the new year. We hope to be joined by a sweet little boy in late February.
